Biography

Dr Hilary Tinotenda Muguto is a senior lecturer in finance. He holds a PhD in Finance, with a specialization in healthcare financing from the University of KwaZulu-Natal, completed in May 2023. Dr Muguto has a decade of lecturing experience at the University of KwaZulu-Natal, covering undergraduate and postgraduate courses in finance, business administration, econometrics, and financial modelling.

He has supervised several honours and masters students, with ongoing supervision of additional masters and doctoral students. His research interests include investor behaviour, real estate, corporate governance, bank stability and environmental issues. Additionally, Dr. Muguto is actively involved in the university’s innovation unit as a corporate advisory team member and academic administration, having coordinated multiple finance modules, contributed to curriculum development, and participated in numerous local and international conferences.
