Overview

The Master of Commerce in Human Resource Management is an advanced programme designed to develop strategic, innovative and evidence-based human resources managers capable of addressing complex organisational and societal challenges. The programme develops competencies in strategic leadership, human resources, digital transformation, data-driven decision-making and ethical management. Students develop the ability to critically analyse complex problems, lead organisational change, create sustainable value, manage resources, understand markets and customers, and formulate evidence-based solutions. Through applied learning and research, graduates are prepared for careers in senior management, public-sector leadership, entrepreneurship, consulting, marketing, supply chain, policy, and research

Entry Requirements

An appropriate Bachelor Honours degree at NQF Level 8 in Management, Business Management, Commerce, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Management or a cognate discipline, with a minimum overall average of 55 %. At admission, candidates may be required to select a research topic within the broad areas of research expertise available in the School and relevant to the qualification. International qualifications must be recognised by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) as equivalent to the required South African qualification.
