Maximum 4 Years (8 Semesters)
An appropriate Master’s degree in Economics or a cognate discipline at NQF Level 9, with a minimum average of 60%, and evidence of adequate preparation in economics, econometrics and research methodology. Applicants from a master’s coursework program must have achieved a minimum of 65% in Research methodology. Applicants must demonstrate research potential through a Master’s research component, research experience and/or a preliminary research proposal. International qualifications must be recognised by SAQA as equivalent to the required South African qualification
